Cake pops are bite-sized treats that everyone enjoys. They are made by grinding up a baked cake, then mixing the crumbles with frosting. After the mix is ready they are rolled into a ball or shaping into something fun. Finally they are dipped in a candy chocolate coating and decorated. The result is a moist, delicious, cute dessert that tastes amazing. It does have a consistency that some associate with cake dough, but don't worry they are fully baked. This is the original way of making them, not the easy way of baking the cake in balls then coating them. They tend to be dry and not as flavorful. Cake pops are a great alternative to messy cake and cupcakes. No need for utensils either. Cake pops are great as portion control as well as they are the perfect size for a treat, but you know you can never just eat one :)
Our pops are about 1 1/2 inches wide, about the size of a golf ball, before they are dipped. It takes a good 3 to 4 bites to finish one off. We suggest around 2 pops per person for events.
Our cake pops will last about 2 weeks at room temperature. Make sure you keep them out of direct sunlight. You can also refrigerate them to last longer, but it will cause some sweating when taken out. People have also been known to freeze them and eat them when a craving hits.
